Every person who comes to the River belongs (our vision statement of being ‘radically inclusive’). We desire to foster that sense of belonging by creating numerous and diverse environments and opportunities for people to connect with one another. For this reason, we place a high value on creating spaces and places for all to do just that.

There are public spaces for belonging such as Sunday mornings, potluck suppers and Blues in the Park.
We encourage the development of ‘social spaces’ of belonging too —through opportunities such as Bridge for Fun, golf tournaments, hockey, dinner club, Newcomers’ Socials-- click on "Community Life"
To provide opportunities for everyone to belong in a more personal way, The River facilitates and supports the development and nurture of home groups or faith families. The Bible often describes the church as family. Ephesians 2:19 states, You are members of God's’ very own family... and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian.

We believe that being connected relationally in a home group is important and so we encourage everyone to explore one or many of the opportunities to be found at the River. Find an area of interest, explore a topic for 6-8 weeks, try serving in one of our zones ... for more information on how or where to get involved, contact Pastor Karen.

Enjoy 8 gatherings that include a meal and video discussions that explore the Christian faith. The introductory session is entitled, “Christianity: Boring, Irrelevant and Untrue?” This is a great refresher course for those coming back to the church and a great place for seekers and skeptics to ask their questions. Becoming a Covenant Partner
The River calls herself a “covenantal community”, inviting believers to identify themselves with and make a commitment to this local church through the signing of a Covenant. Learn about the vision and values of the River by signing up for our next session of “Becoming a Covenant Partner”.

I Believe
