2. Read Luke 12:13-21. What strikes you about this parable? Notice in particular the context in which Jesus tells this parable. What specific sin is he addressing? Is Jesus’ use of the word “fool” in verse 20 too strong? Why or why not?
3. On Sunday morning, I talked about how, in light of eternity, we ought to make soul care and character development our highest priority in life. For example, I said, never trading your integrity for a quick fix or in order to get ahead. Why is it so easy for us to ignore this advice? Why are we so often driven by fear in this area?
4. If we’re eternal beings, then learning something new is never a waste of time. What new things are you learning lately? What ambitions do you have? How do you learn best?
5. On Sunday, I said, “we are ALL reclamation projects and therefore you have never met a hopeless case.” How should this change how we treat people in this life?
