2. On Sunday, I talked about how since God reveals himself as a Trinity of self-giving and self receiving love, the heartbeat of the Universe (ultimate reality) is a dynamic community of love and joy. In other words, this world is the overflow of God’s love and goodness. What do you think about all this? Does it blow your mind? What are the implications of this truth?
3. Tim Keller writes, ““Ultimate reality is a community of persons who know and love one another. That is what the universe, God, history, and life is all about. If you favor money, power, and accomplishment over human relationships, you will dash yourself on the rocks of reality. When Jesus said you must lose yourself in service to find yourself, he was recounting what the Father, Son and Holy Spirit have been doing throughout eternity.” Why do you suppose so many people choose money, power and accomplishments as their ultimate reality? Why are our hearts so resistant to God’s love?
4. On Sunday, I made the point that love exposes us; in other words, when we choose to love, we realise that we are imperfect lovers? Why is it important to come to this realisation? (Hint: because we KNOW that we are imperfect lovers, we ALSO know that perfect love exists.
5. If the perfect love of God is the future (in other words, it will arrive on planet earth someday), what are the implications for your life today?
