Ready, set, GO! And September is here again. I think my greatest challenge in this month is just the sheer amount of promoting I have to do. There are just so many good things going on. Like, what we’re doing at The Wellness Project this fall. Do yourself a favour and head over to www.southpointecommunity.ca and check out what’s going on. Signing up for a class is one click away.
Have you noticed the Community gardens as you drive in on Sunday morning? I think it’s harvest time. It’s been wonderful seeing various community people enjoying getting their hands dirty this summer. Just a little aside, I heard that some people at The River got the idea that the gardens were an opportunity to grab a few fresh vegetables while they were at Church. Please remember that we RENT out these plots to community people, so the zucchini is theirs. If you didn’t grow it, you’ll have to buy yours at Safeway.
My deepest thanks to Jon Elzinga and Eric Van Dyk who have completed their terms as Executive elders. They did a terrific job. May God bless you richly for your service! Also, welcome to Sharon Versluy and Mike Taekema as they step into this important role.
