Growing in faith together

We want children to feel welcome, valued, and connected within our church community. Our hope is that kids grow in their knowledge of God, experience God’s love deeply, and learn to love and care for others.

We believe children are an important part of the church today, not just the church of the future. Because of this, we create opportunities for children to participate in the life and worship of our church while also providing age-specific spaces designed for their stage of life.

NOTE: Summer Programming Break

During the summer months, our children-specific programming takes a break and children join the main worship service with their families or caregivers.

To help support their experience:

  • Markers and paper are available during the service

  • Occasional special activities are provided

Babies & Toddlers

We provide a small play area inside the sanctuary for parents and caregivers with babies and toddlers. At this time, we do not offer a separate nursery.

Our monthly rhythm

First Sunday communion & Shared Worship

All ages remain in the service together. These gatherings include singing, prayer, a short homily, and communion.

Following the service, we share a brunch potluck together as a church family, continuing the practice of gathering around the table in fellowship.

Second Sunday — Shared Worship

Children ages 3 through Grade 3 are invited to the Mess Hall during the sermon portion of the service for story and play time. All other ages remain together in worship.

We thoughtfully plan these services to create meaningful opportunities for all ages to participate in worship together in ways that are accessible, engaging, and spiritually enriching.

Note. Advent and Easter seasons also follow this format

Remaining Sundays — Mess Hall Programming

On the remaining Sundays of the month, children ages 3 through Grade 6 are invited to the Mess Hall during the sermon portion of the service.

The Mess Hall is a place where children are invited to:

  • Explore God’s story with curiosity and wonder

  • Build meaningful relationships

  • Have fun with creative hands-on activities and play

  • Practice loving and caring for others

  • Grow in knowing they are deeply loved by God

SAFE CHURCH
