Our Love for Our Neighbour

Not unlike the Jews of ancient times, we too like to define who is our neighbour very narrowly. A fuller understanding of the parable reveals that there were plenty of reasons why the priest and Levite should not have helped the beaten and wounded man on the road. We too often have very good reasons why we are not called to help a neighbour. Like the Jews of old, we too need to be gob-struck by the punch line of the parable. Listen as Pastor Bill Nieuwenhuis takes us through what it means to truly love our neighbours.

Our Love For God

Join us this Sunday as Pastor Bill Nieuwenhuis speaks on our love for God as he uses Rembrandt’s painting as the foil for entry into the passage Luke 15:11-32 about the prodigal son. He will dive into the two sons and examine how each relates to their father and their love (or lack thereof) for him, just as each son had to come to terms with his father, each of us must come to terms with our love for God.
